Hill Side Body
Insurance Claims Support
We handle the back-and-forth with insurance so you can focus on getting back to normal. You shouldn't have to fight for a proper repair.
Your Advocate
We work for you, not the insurance company.
Insurance companies want to minimize what they pay. We want to maximize the quality of your repair. That's why we stay independent - no insurance contracts, no pressure to cut corners.
When you bring your vehicle to Hill Side Body, we become your advocate. We communicate directly with adjusters, document everything thoroughly, and fight for the repair your vehicle deserves - not the cheapest one the insurance company will approve.
What We Do For You
- Handle all adjuster communication

Know Your Rights
South Dakota law protects you.
Insurance companies don't always tell you everything. Here's what you need to know.
Choose Your Shop
South Dakota law protects your right to use any repair shop. Insurance cannot force you to use their preferred shops.
No Multiple Estimates Required
There's no law requiring you to get multiple estimates. One thorough estimate from your chosen shop is enough.
Know About Parts
If aftermarket parts are used, it must be disclosed in writing. You have the right to know what's going on your car.
Request Supplements
If additional damage is found during repairs, you're entitled to have it properly documented and covered.
Watch Out
Don't let insurance steer you.
Steering is when an insurance company pressures you to use their preferred shop. It's illegal in South Dakota.
Insurance companies have financial relationships with certain body shops. When they push you toward those shops, it's often because those shops have agreed to keep costs down - sometimes at the expense of repair quality.
You have the legal right to choose any repair shop. If an adjuster pressures you, simply say: “I've chosen my repair facility.” You don't owe them an explanation.
Red Flag Phrases
If you hear any of these, the adjuster may be steering you:
- "You have to use our preferred shop"
- "We can't guarantee the work if you go elsewhere"
- "It will take longer if you use a different shop"
- "That shop charges too much"
Simple Process
- 1Bring your vehicle to us or call for towing
- 2We inspect damage and write an estimate
- 3We submit to your insurance and handle communication
- 4Repairs begin once approved
- 5You pick up your fully repaired vehicle
How It Works
We make it easy for you.
You shouldn't have to become an insurance expert after an accident. That's our job.
Just bring your vehicle to us (or we can arrange a tow). We take it from there. You'll get updates on the repair progress and won't have to deal with adjusters directly unless you want to.
When it's time to pick up, we'll walk you through everything that was done. We stand behind our work - ask us about warranty coverage.
